There is no doubt I would not be where I am today without you. You were both my teacher and my mentor, and I can’t thank you enough for all you’ve done for me. I always felt that you cared about my success, but more than anything you genuinely cared bout my well-being. Your constant encouragement not only helped me persevere in difficult moments, but also helped me gain confidence in myself and my own identity. In high school, it is so easy to blur the line between who you are as a person, and who you are on paper. You facilitated reflections and critical thinking that I do not believe can be taught in school.
Looking back on all the ways in which you helped me achieve my goals, I firmly believe you will touch the lives of so many and help countless students achieve success - a feeling of pure accomplishment that only comes a handful of times in life.
