Pi Day, 2024

CalTech, Class of 2024; Carnegie Mellon, Class of 2027

From preparing for the SAT to working on first year applications and into my most recent round of acceptance letters for Grad school (below), my work with Christine over the years has not only helped me through academic challenges but personal ones as well.

In a few months, I will be graduating from the California Institute of Technology, a notoriously rigorous institution with a heavy emphasis on STEM. My work with Christine has built strong study habits, reading comprehension skills, and personal accountability which have influenced not only my coursework but my research as well. Carrying over these lessons into other areas of my life, I have landed a job at Snapchat and while accepting admission to the prestigious Masters of Engineering program at Cornell Tech, paving the road for a successful future in the field of AI.

Further, Christine has given me support and guidance in my growth as an educator. I have tutored several students in Math and CS and this experience has served to enhance my passions for CS education. I am excited to pass on the principles I’ve learned from Christine into my next chapters as both a graduate student and a future mentor to other aspiring students in STEM.

As a life coach, Christine has helped me negotiate several large hurdles that life and college have thrown at me. She has never judged me for my questions or moments of doubt and no matter the scenario, Christine has only offered guidance and patience as well as stories and her own experiences and struggles to show me that I’m going to be just fine.

Thank you Christine for your friendship and wisdom. I will be forever grateful.
