Woodbridge HW (class of 2023) - Irvine, CA
Strength and Compassion

Christine has been an amazing mentor for me. She helped me to figure out my interests and gave me great advice on the courses I should take throughout high school. She has taught me grammar and reading rules that I was able to use both on SAT and AP English Language Composition. She also helped me to get into competitive summer programs such as Carnegie Mellon Computer Science Scholars, Youth Leadership Summit, John Hopkins Engineering Innovation, as well as highly selective programs at U Penn and USC. She worked with me from a blank page to a complete application and showed me not just how to find ideas to write about but how to word them in powerful ways without sounding cliche or redundant.

In addition, she has been a life coach and has helped me in moments where I didn’t feel confident in my ability to complete certain programs and classes. She even helped me to create a resume which I never knew I needed but has been very useful for when I applied to internships and various other programs. Since my parents have no knowledge of the college application process in America, but Christine has helped me throughout the past three years and made it much easier than I thought it would be by guiding me through all the steps, starting with tiny soundbites in my Freshman year and increasing the information as we got closer to where we are today.

My family and I will always be grateful for all the support Christine has provided us throughout the past three years and we hope to have her as part of our family in the years to come.

Thank you for Christine for all that you’ve done for me and I’m excited to see where our search for the best chicken strips takes us next. =)
